Important: Measles Alert

Following a recent outbreak of measles, we strongly advise all parents and carers to ensure that children are fully immunised with the MMR vaccine.

Measles is a highly infectious illness and can be serious, particularly for babies, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems. Complications can include ear infections, pneumonia, seizures and, in rare cases, brain inflammation (encephalitis).

Please check your child’s Red Book to confirm they have received both doses of the MMR vaccine. If you are unsure about your child’s vaccination status, please contact the practice and we will be happy to check your records.

If you believe you or your child may have symptoms of measles please do NOT attend the practice in person.
Instead, please telephone the surgery or submit an online consultation so we can advise you safely.

Our Staff

We have a team of experienced doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals that are committed to providing you the highest standard of care and treatment.

Teaching Practice

We want to support the NHS by helping to train the next generation of GPs. Our practice is an accredited training practice. This means that we train doctors to become GPs.

As a patient you might be supported by:

  • GP Registrars
  • A GP Registrar or GP Trainee, is a qualified Doctor who will become a GP by training in hospitals and GP practices. The GP training takes place over a 3 year period.
  • Foundation Year Doctors (F2)
  • After deciding to become a GP, medical students will spend two years in ‘Foundation Training’. These students already have a medical degree and in the second year of Foundation Training, they spend 4 months in a GP practice.
  • All GP Registrars or F2s are supported and supervised by senior GPs within our practice.

Named Accountable GP

Everyone of our patients has a named GP. They have overall responsibility for the care and support that we provide to you. This does not mean that you only have to see your named GP – you can see any clinician within our practice.

We will let you know who your named GP is when you register with the practice. You can always ask our reception team who your named GP is too.
